Every March, DLA Piper celebrates Women's History Month and International Women's Day with a series of networking events. Under the collective banner of Empowering Women Worldwide, our women lawyers and staff are engaged, around the world, in hosting numerous events designed to celebrate the accomplishments of women and to strengthen relationships among women in law and business.
Lawyers and clients of 21 US DLA Piper offices are participating in firm-sponsored Women’s History Month celebrations, with events ranging from breakfast panel discussions to evening cocktail receptions, and everything in between! Some of our esteemed guests include Deborah Sweet Eyler of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals; Denise Brosseau, CEO of Well-Connected Leader, Inc.; Sara Laschever, Editor, Cultural Critic and Author of Women Don’t Ask; Marilyn Nagel, Chief Executive Officer of Watermark and former Chief Diversity Officer of Cisco Systems; Nancy Heinen, former General Counsel of Apple; Sharon Vosmek, Chief Executive Officer of Astia; Susan Marsch, Chair of Women’s General Counsel Forum and Associate General Counsel of Flextronics; and Christine Quinn, NYC City Council, to name just a few. Additionally, many of our offices collect clothing for Dress for Success as part of their events.
