I was given important projects from day one. Having an opportunity to work on both local and national cases has been something that stands out to me.

Our pledge is simple: We’ll do everything possible to ensure that you have the opportunity to succeed and develop a rewarding, exciting career. This means we’ll provide the training, mentoring and guidance you will need to enjoy a stimulating, challenging and educational experience.
Work that matters. Money is great, but it’s not the primary reason why associates come to our firm or remain here. We recognize that our associates have to be committed to the firm to grow and develop into accomplished lawyers. So, for our part, we work hard to create a firm where you’ll want to stick around, learn and grow. You’ll get as much responsibility as you can handle, in an organized, efficient workplace that isn’t overly bureaucratic or formal. We strive to be unpretentious, enjoy what we do and do it well.
Tools for growth. We want you to achieve excellence today and tomorrow. So, our Professional Development group provides you with a full array of orientation programs, mentoring initiatives, substantive legal training seminars, and “learning by doing” skills training on legal practice, management and leadership.
A voice that’s heard. At DLA Piper, associates play an important role in guiding our success. Associates participate on the firmwide Policy Committee, the Associate Evaluation and Compensation Committee and each office’s Hiring Committee. Elected by their peers, the lawyers on our Associates Committee act to develop and shape policies affecting associates.
