For those working as associates in other law firms, or those in judicial clerk roles, DLA Piper can represent an exceptional opportunity for career growth. We are committed to providing you with swift, fair consideration for a role in our firm.
First step. We have a range of practice areas and offices, so your first step should be to visit our web site to view current openings. This will help you determine if the opportunities and locations available are right for you.
Second step. Apply to an open position by sending or emailing a cover letter, resume, law school transcript and writing sample to one of our legal recruiting contacts. Or, apply online.
Third step. If you’re called in for an interview, the session will usually last two to four hours. You will meet with four to six partners and associates. If you’d like to learn more about a specific practice group or the experiences of a specific lawyer with a diverse background, please ask your recruiter. The recruiting staff also will give you information on our travel reimbursement policies, if they apply.
Fourth step. If you receive an offer, you may want to work with your recruiter to arrange a return visit to meet with additional members of the team or more deeply explore a particular practice area.
We welcome your interest in DLA Piper and encourage you to explore the world of opportunities our unique firm has to offer.
